Slowly getting used to uploading videos, here's the 2nd clip from yesterday - again nothing heavy duty, but we do have some lovely Green lanes in Somerset:
Gently green laning is one of the reasons I've bought another 4x4. There is so much of the Uk you can explore without monster tyres and massive lifts. In fact I do some of the local ones on my mobility buggy - seriously !
One thing I'd say is don't tackle anything "challenging" by yourself. If you get stuck, breakdown or at worse get injured / roll over then you can understand why you need to be part of a group or at least have someone else following / in front.
Totaly agree with that Paul, very dangerous and also irresponsible to lane on your own, you never know what your chances of getting stuck or worse are till it happens. Even when you know a lane fairly well rain can wash it out and make it more than difficult in a matter of days.
The journey isn't about departing in a well preserved body - but rather to skid in sideways - totally worn out - shouting HOLY SHIT WHAT A RIDE!!!!
Be More like a Dog, If you can't, Eat it, Play with it, Chase it, or Bark at it, Just Piss on it and walk away.
All the lanes I use are very low level difficulties, indeed could drive some in my car (too many scratches though ) And I've owned 4x4's for many years.......finally I also have a mobile winch that works off the battery and is more than capable of pulling jeep as an emergency. Mates who have Land rovers also help :-)
